Plot
In a remote corner of northern Thailand, Brian (Aaron Nelson), an American backpacker, is vacationing at a hillside retreat with a group of other foreigners. The day begins with a hike through the jungle to the nearby village and the first of many blind shots. Brian is apparently on a safari, but it is really for his own pleasure. When he is not drinking and getting high, he is digging up rare local artifacts, mainly Buddha statues and wooden masks.
After a few days at the retreat, Brian makes friends with the owner, John (Bill Moseley), an American man in his late forties who is also vacationing with his young Thai wife. John is in the same predicament as Brian: His job is to cater to Brian's whims while in Thailand.
One day, Brian and John go for a walk in the jungle after their customary evening binge. At a fork in the path, Brian stops in front of a hole in the ground. His curiosity gets the better of him, and he decides to climb down. John decides to follow him. On the way down, he tells Brian that he had been expecting him to go down the hole and that he had been keeping his shotgun loaded with silver bullets ready.
At the bottom of the hole, John sees a big animal lying on the ground. He calls out to Brian, who runs to the spot where he had been standing just a moment ago. The animal is dead. He soon finds out that the dead animal is a crocodile, and the skeleton is that of the one he saw on the path. The two men decide to go back to the hilltop and finish the evening with a little bit of karaoke.
That night, the water level in the pool, which is in the middle of the hill, drops and a dead woman (Vicki Bell) is found floating in it. Her body is covered with bite marks. The group, led by Brian, goes to investigate, but it is already too late. They find out that the woman was a friend of John's wife, who was supposed to come here with him. The same thing happens the next day: another dead woman is found floating in the pool. It seems that the deceased come here to swim.
Shortly after that, they find out about the murders and realize that they must have been committed by a crocodile. Brian decides to talk to the owner, who is extremely paranoid about crocodiles. He
